Full details of the way in which the Association operates are contained in two documents:
The Diver Training Standards The Operational and Administrative Procedures
They are designed to give a complete framework for the Approval of Schools and the Standards they teach, and are particularly relevant to Countries which, as yet, do not have their own National Standards. They have the advantage of being independent as they have been created by the consensus view of the Members, and are therefore not influenced by any National allegiance. The Standards contain details of the 6 IDSA Diver Training Standards, and the Procedures information concerning Applications for Membership, Auditing, the Issue of Qualification cards and other relevant matters
The Diver Training Standards.
The Diver Training Standards were revised at theAnnual Meeting of the Association in Galveston, October 2006. Revision 3 dated 30th November 2006 may now be downloaded by clicking on the link below. Only available in Adobe .pdf format.
The Operational and Administrative Procedures.
Revision 3 of the Operational and Administrative Standards dated 1 July 2007 is now available, and may be obtained by request from the Administrator at info@idsaworldwide.org
